- Courses will be run in accordance with all current Industry best practices
adhering to all H.S.E and Lantra/AFAG directives.
- All instructors employed by O.L.T.S. Ltd will have all relevant qualifications
to instruct candidates for the particular course being attended.
- All handouts and accompanying information is compiled by Lantra Awards
solely for the use of the candidate/s attending the specific course.
- Any candidate deemed by the instructor to be unable to perform the relevant
training required will be asked to leave the course with no refund of
the course fee.
- If during the progress of a course a candidate/s within the course group
seriously breaches any of the guidelines in the opinion of the instructor
then that person will be asked to leave the course with no refund of the
course fee.
- O.L.T.S.Ltd will not accept any responsibility for any accident resulting
from a candidate deliberately failing to observe and carry out laid down
guidelines whilst attending a course.
- Any equipment used belonging to O.L.T.S.Ltd that is wilfully damaged
or stolen whilst being used by a candidate/s will be charged to themselves
or persons providing payment to the course at current replacement prices.
- All invoices for replacement of equipment will be paid in full within
7 days of date of invoice. If this does not occur O.L.T.S Ltd will be
entitled to charge a rate of 2% interest per month on the outstanding
amount until payment is received in full.
- If due to illness a candidate/s cannot attend a pre booked course full
monies will be reimbursed or a rescheduling for a future course will be
arranged. A valid medication certificate must be produced.
- Full payment for a particular course must be received by O.L.T.S.Ltd
within 7 days of the date of booking. Company bookings must be made with
an order number if immediate payment is not forthcoming. Credit cards,
switch cards, cheques or direct BACS payments are acceptable. If payment
has not been made the candidate/s will not be allowed to attend the course.
No refund will be given for cancellation unless due to illness.
- If due to illness or other extenuating circumstances an instructor cannot
attend, another instructor will be supplied if possible .If this is not
possible O.L.T.S.Ltd reserve the right to cancel a course and either reimburse
the full cost of the course or reschedule for a future date.
- All candidates will be supplied with relevant P.P.E (personal protective
clothing). Candidates may supply their own as long as it is of a suitable
standard If this is not produced at the start of the course the candidate/s
will not be able to continue the course with no refund of the course cost.
- All chainsaws and climbing equipment will be supplied by O.L.T.S Ltd.
Candidates may bring their own climbing kit and chainsaws. If the climbing
equipment is more than 6 months old a relevant LOLER inspection certificate
must be produced.
- All courses are undertaken under the presumption that candidates have
the relevant C/S units required as a prerequisite for the particular C/S
unit that training is being provided for. If on attendance it is found
that the candidate/s does not have these units or the experience they
will not be able to continue the course and there will be no refund.
- It is highly recommended that for C/S units involving the use of a chainsaw
within a tree that the candidate/s has experience in relation to climbing
experience.
- If a candidate is unable to attend the assessment on the day arranged
by O.L.T.S. Ltd they will be required to make their own arrangements with
