For every chainsaw course we deliver the highest calibre Training with qualified Lantra instructors and City And Guilds Assessors who are friendly and approachable who have had significant experience within their fields as contractors and trainers and assessors.
For all your chainsaw needs we have equipment and personal protective equipment for hire any maintenance tools for the participants on any course we have them available for use. We also have excellent chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting manuals which are yours to take away which has full illustrations as well as explanations of what you have been taught throughout the day which are great reference materials for you to use and also refer back to.
On a typical maintenance course we would cover health and safety legislation. We cover the workings of the chainsaw we strip the chainsaw down looking and explaining about each running component which would be carried out in a classroom with bench vices to secure the chainsaw while maintaining the cutting components on the chain. We supply tea and coffee or soft drink beverages available as well as hand washing and on-site toilet .
The second day of a cross cutting course typically people will be learning how to fill up their sources what appropriate PP they would need to be wearing they would look at handling the soul and moving around site correctly they would be able to look at the different properties of timber and understand what appropriate cuts to use and this will be carried out on site in our undercover cross cutting bays so regardless of the weather we can continue with the practice of using the soul.
With an our cross crossing bases, we have log trolleys and we have stacks of timber which are all hand and we have timber tongs which are there to use to help manoeuvre the wood around the site. All the facilities are close at hand and it’s purpose-built training facilities for all the customer requirements.
If you are moving onto further training by doing a selling course again, a typical day would be meeting at our training facility and with our purpose built selling devices each candidate gets a chance to carry out a multiple felling cuts on the day without the hassle of clearing up a tree each time this gives they candidate a greater chance of success when being assessed as they have the chance to practice cuts numerous times. As they say practice makes perfect. Also within the yard adjacent to our felling simulators we have processing simulators where people have the chance to practice removing branches of a fallen tree multiple times again this gives the candidate the best chance to be successful when undertaking their assessment.
