Utility Ground Based Pruning Level 3 City and Guilds qualification number (0038-32) – 21st May

This is a course for anyone looking to advance their career in utility arboriculture who currently hold the city and guilds qualifications basic electrical knowledge and Utility tree species recognition, growth characteristics and associated hazards.
Within this course you will learn how to use and inspect utility rods so that they are fit for purpose. How to handle them safely and know how to cut vegetation away form the live and dead utility network with them using various tools and attachment.
You will also have an understanding of when to work with the network live and when to cut and work with the network dead so you can work safely on site.
This course will have a maximum of 4 people per course and you will need a set of utility rods a minimum of 6. A rod bag. Attachments for the rods, a hook, saw head, and pruning head with insulators on the pull cord a minimum of 2.
